Emerging Businesses in Austin to Explore Going Global at Capital Factory Tech Incubator -- "Grow Your Business Through Ireland", a complimentary seminar, will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24th, at Capital Factory in Austin, Texas.

Austin, Texas, October 12, 2012 -- Senior executives of high-growth companies will join IDA Ireland, SolarWinds, Indeed.com and PwC for an evening of speakers, panel discussions and networking centered on how to effectively scale and internationalize their business operations.

The complimentary seminar, entitled "Grow Your Business Through Ireland", is hosted by William Fry and will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24th, at Capital Factory in Austin, Texas.

At Capital Factory, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the latest community for tech startups and take in 360-degree views of one of the fastest growing cities in the country while learning about international expansion strategies.

Designed for individuals in high-growth companies tasked with determining the location of business critical operations globally, the event will focus on how to build and support a network of international customers by leveraging Ireland as a gateway to Europe.

"Emerging businesses thrive in collaborative, entrepreneurial environments. Just as the Capital Factory nurtures innovation among tech startups in Austin, Ireland offers a supportive ecosystem that fosters international growth through a highly trained, technically-savvy workforce and pro-business infrastructure," said Barry O' Dowd, Head of IDA Ireland's Emerging Business Division.

Since 2010, more than 50 emerging businesses from the U.S. and EU such as Marketo, Sangart, Riot Games and Delcath Systems have established their presence in Ireland, working alongside IDA Ireland. These companies, characterized by their innovation, growth potential and ambition to expand, join global leaders such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and Intel, who also chose Ireland as their European hub.

Bart Kalsu, Vice President of Finance and Joe Ciccarello, Vice President of Tax, at SolarWinds, a developer of network management and discovery tools based in Austin, will share insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with high-growth companies pursuing a global strategy as well as the company's decision to locate in Ireland.

Waiting in a monster line is rough on customers. Transactions that involve tedious document scanning? Even scarier. Meet the KODAK ScanMate i1150. A smart, responsive little beast from Kodak Alaris that fits easily on a desk or counter--and has an "overdrive" button that devours stacks of 10 even faster. It can even sense a jam and stop in its tracks. Fiercely reliable. Well behaved. Look closer.
